In testing these bear bells for dogs, Rainey was skittish of the noise. So, we suggest that you desensitize your dog to the noise before going on any excursions. For Rainey, we attach the bell to the back of her harness. She seems to prefer that to having the bell around her neck.

Dylan didn’t seem to mind the noise at all. And didn’t have any issues wearing the bell.
